View Peoples Hidden Comments

Are you that sort of person who really wants to find out what people are saying to each other, but they have hidden their comments.

Well now you can.

Simply, visit your "friends" page, then search for a number at the end of the URL box at the top, usually around 8-10 digits. This is their friend ID. Copy this and then click home. Now view your own comments. You see that number again at the top, this is your friend ID, replace it with your "friend's" one and press enter.

Walllaah!

(This also works for their blogs and pictures if they have hidden the links to them. Unfortunately not for their messages though, still working on that.)

Remember to insert your URL. If it's one tile you want to tile across and down the page like a checkerboard have "background-repeat :repeat;". Whereas if it's one big image have it as "background-repeat: none;".

Creating lists

Formatting a picture.

Pretty much the same as formatting text apart from you put the < p > tag around the image tag. If you haven't yet learned how to insert images into myspace, click here! If you have, continue reading. To format pictures, here is the method:

Centered image:
<p align="center">< img src="http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif"></p>

Aligned to the left image:
<p align="left"><img src="http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif"></p>

Aligned to the right image:
<p align="right"><img src="http://www.google.co.uk/intl/en_uk/images/logo.gif"></p>

The images should now look like this:

That's basically all you will need to know about formatting pictures!

Formating text

Formatting text to appear left, right or center. Also formatting usually comes in the paragraph tag.

A simple paragraph:

To format text or paragraphs use this tag:

<p align="right">Paragraph aligned to the right</p>

The Paragraphs will now look like this:

Inserting clickable links

Links to other sites are a good way of getting people to visit a site you may want them to see. To do this use this tag:

That will look like this:

If you want the link to open up in a new tab or window add "target="_blank" after the link:

<a href="http://www.google.co.uk" target="_blank">Google</a>

This will look the same as a normal link, but open up in a new window or tab:

Now combining pictures and links, to make a clickable picture link.

The Code is similar to the above code but you replace the text with the picture URL. You need to upload a photo to one of the many hosting sites to gain a URL. The code is as follows;

You can also apply formatting to this like aligning.

You may want to express yourself in pictures, so here is the method:

This is the basic tag, obviously this won't do anything as the link is only an example. For it to work you need to upload your image to photobucket or imageshack then copy the URL link. Insert the link in between the apostrophes.

Basic Font changes

With the rapidly growing myspace community you may want to stand out more. One way to do this might be to alter your fonts characteristics. All this involves is inserting a simple tag around the text you desire to be bigger, bolder etc.

Bold = <b>Bold</b>

Italic = <i>Italic</i>

Emphasized = <em>Emphasized</em>

Smaller text = <small>Smaller text</small>

If you really want to stand out there are ways in which you can alter your texts font, size and color.

Examples:

Red text = <font color="red">Red text</font>

Different font = <font face="splash">Different font</font>

Size 5 text = <font size="5">Size 5 text</font>

All this in one = <font color="red" face="verdana" size="5">All this in one</font>

These are the most basic ways of customising your text.
